To promote scientific research and cutting edge scientific exchanges on HIV persistence in viral reservoirs and HIV eradication strategies

HIV PERSISTENCE WORKSHOP TOPICS
Mechanisms of HIV persistence in viral reservoirs, HIV latency and reservoirs, immunology and HIV reservoirs,
acute HIV infection and establishment of the reservoir, and HIV eradication strategies aimed at finding a sterilizing cure or a functional cure.
HIV PERSISTENCE WORKSHOP HISTORY
The first 'HIV PERSISTENCE WORKSHOP' was launched in December 2003 under the initiatives of Dr Alain Lafeuillade (France),
Pr Roger Pomerantz (USA) and Mario Stevenson (USA).
The second edition took place in December 2005, the third in December 2007, the fourth in December 2007 and the fifth in December 6-9, 2011,
each time in Saint Martin (West Indies). Saint Martin venue was initially motivated by its location near America and by the fact that it is in part governed by the French Republic.
In 2013, The Workshop Moves to Miami, Fl.
